Individuals and organizations should be held accountable when their conduct or product causes harm and loss to others. Bringing these cases to justice also helps to promote public safety. Such efforts can lead to improved conditions in workplaces and public spaces, safer products, and better healthcare practices, for example.
People who have suffered harm or a loss as a result of the negligent actions of others deserve to be compensated.
